Local Cancer Center is hiring for a MRI Technologist located in the 10035-zip code in the borough of Manhattan.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The MRI Technologist shall: Operate MRI equipment and contrast injector. Occasional overtime as needed Document setup parameters. Inform patients and family members about the procedure and answer questions. Perform quality control procedures. Train new personnel and students on the proper performance of MRI studies. Assists with other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a graduate of a JCERT accredited program in MRI Technology. Must be certified and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in MR. Must be licensed by the New York State Department of Health as a radiologic technologist. Must be certified in Basic Life Support CPR. Experience: One year of clinical experience required. Two or more years of clinical experience preferred.
Salary/Hourly Wage: $40-$45/hr based on experience
Shifts: 9 hours
Hours: Full Time Monday through Friday
Morning Shift: 5:30am – 2:00 pm
Night Shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm (sometimes it extends to 11:00pm or later due to machine downtime)
