About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Sales Assistant / Project Development team member with strong Mandarin reading and writing skills to support sales activity and early-stage project coordination with our China-based teams and manufacturing partners.
This is an entry-level role ideal for someone early in their career who is interested in international business, supply chain coordination, and client-facing project development. You will play a key role in ensuring clear communication between U.S.-based sales teams and China-based internal teams, helping projects move smoothly from opportunity to execution.
Key Responsibilities
China-Facing Coordination
- Read and write Mandarin Chinese to support daily communication with China-based project managers
- Assist with translating written project details, timelines, questions, and updates between English and Mandarin
- Help ensure requirements, revisions, and approvals are clearly documented and communicated
- Follow up with overseas teams on quotes, open questions, samples, timelines, and deliverables
Sales & Opportunity Support
- Support Business Development Directors and Account Managers with sales coordination tasks
- Help track leads, opportunities, and client communications in CRM systems
- Coordinate meeting notes and action items related to China-based production or sourcing
Project Development & Early Execution
- Support the transition of projects from sales to production readiness
- Help gather client inputs (specs, quantities, timelines) and share with internal teams
- Assist with early project tracking, sample coordination, and internal timelines
- Maintain organized project files, notes, and shared documentation
- Escalate risks, delays, or unclear information to senior team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Business, Supply Chain, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 0–2 years of relevant experience
- Ability to read and write Mandarin Chinese for business communication (required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working across time zones and with global teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Eagerness to learn, take direction, and grow within the organization
Preferred (Nice to Have)
- Exposure to manufacturing, packaging, sourcing, or supply chain environments
- Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)
- Interest in international operations, account management, or project coordination
- Basic understanding of production timelines or vendor communication
